Faculty Presentation
The faculty is located in the Ben Badis area, on the western side of Annaba, near the city’s main entrance. It is about 5 km from the city center and 15 km from the airport. The site is well served by different means of transport, including taxis and buses. https://maps.app.goo.gl/hQvXqabFG5MFw3tD6
The faculty is managed by a dean, administered by a faculty council, and supported by a scientific council.
Each department is headed by a department chair and has its own scientific committee.
The administrative organization of the faculty is defined by a joint decree of the Minister of Higher Education, the Minister of Finance, and the authority in charge of public service.
The academic organization of the faculty and its departments is defined by a decree of the Minister of Higher Education.
The Faculty Council
- The Faculty Council includes:
- The Dean of the Faculty, as President
- The President of the Faculty’s Scientific Council
- The Heads of Departments
- The Directors of Research Units, if any
- One representative of the teaching staff per department, elected among those with the highest academic rank
- One elected student representative per department
- Two elected representatives of the administrative, technical, and service staff
- The head of pedagogical and research support services, the head of administrative and financial services, as well as the head of the faculty library, also attend the meetings with consultative (non-voting) rights.
The operating procedures of the Faculty Council are defined by a decree of the Minister of Higher Education.
The Faculty Council is responsible for:
- Studying the faculty’s development prospects
- Planning training, professional development, and refresher programs
- Preparing the faculty’s budget projects
- Examining the management of the faculty
- Preparing the faculty’s annual activity report, presented by the Dean
- Giving opinions on any issue submitted by the Dean
The Faculty is composed of four main departments:
- Department of Economic Sciences
- Department of Commercial Sciences
- Department of Management Sciences
- Common Core Department
